About our keynote speaker: Prince Laryea
Born in Ghana, Prince came to England aged three when his family sought asylum. His father's powerful encounter with Jesus shaped the family’s faith journey and Prince decided to follow Jesus for himself in his teenage years. Prince went on to form the Christian hip hop band 29th Chapter with friends from his church youth group. Over 15 years, the group moved from local gigs to international tours, with many young people coming to faith. He also founded Acts 29, a charity supporting disadvantaged young people to explore faith through music. Prince has since worked with charities including Youth For Christ and Resurgo, served as an executive producer for an international theatre company, and provided executive coaching in the arts and culture sector. He now brings this experience to Scripture Union (SU).
