About this Event
Think you’ve got what it takes to beat Rocky?
Philadelphia’s most famous 72 steps are calling.
As part of Rocky Season 2026, the Philadelphia Visitor Center invites you to take on The Rocky Steps Challenge — a one-of-a-kind morning of fun, competition, and Philly pride at the iconic Rocky Steps.
On Saturday, November 7, we'll be at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the ultimate Philly experience: race up all 72 steps and see if you can make it to the top in under 12 seconds - maybe even beating Rocky himself!
But the steps are only part of the fun. Test your reflexes in the Orange Toss Sprint, enjoy samples from honeygrow, grab some swag at the Rocky Shop, cheer on your fellow competitors, and celebrate one of the most legendary movie moments ever filmed in Philadelphia.
Whether you’re racing the clock, chasing the day’s fastest time, or just want to say “I ran the Rocky Steps!”, this is your chance to be part of a uniquely Philadelphia experience.
🥊 THE CHALLENGE
Climb all 72 Steps.
Cross the finish line and earn an Official Rocky Season 2026 Collector’s Sweatband and Rocky Steps Challenge Official Certificate.
Beat the clock.
Join Rocky himself as one of the elite few who can run the steps in less than 12 seconds flat! Finish under 11.7 seconds and you’ll score a special Rocky Shop prize plus a $15 honeygrow gift certificate.
Enter the Champion's Circle.
One competitor will walk away with The Champion’s Package: an authentic film-replica Italian Stallion robe, a pair of tickets to the Philadelphia Flyers Rocky Night, a pair of tickets to Rocky at 50 Legacy Concert, a copy of The Steps: A Memoir by Sylvester Stallone, and a $100 honeygrow gift certificate.
🏆 ARE YOU READY?
You don’t have to be a professional athlete. You just need a little determination, a little Philly grit, and the willingness to take your shot.
Come dressed to move, bring your friends and family to cheer you on, and get ready for a morning filled with music, competition, prizes, photo-worthy moments, and plenty of Rocky spirit.
