TWO FREE CONCERTS @ 1:30 and 3:00As our nation celebrates its 250th year, we sing these American works of consolation, optimism, resilience, spark and fire. They honor the spirit that has always carried us forward: love and compassion for our neighbors, the courage to stand for what is right, and the grit to rise again whenever we stumble. We are a people who dream, who hope, and who keep looking toward the light. Together, we find it in each other. It is in US.
Music highlights include Samuel Barber’s venerated “Agnus Dei” (the vocal setting of his famous Adagio for Strings), Melissa Dunphy’s Suite Justice, and works by Elliott Carter, Joseph Gregorio, Dolores White, Dolly Parton, Josiah Alwood.
