About this Event
There are seasons where we all carry more than we realize.
Lay It Down is a supportive space to set some of it down, together. An offering for those who give deeply and are learning to receive.
Guided by Cindy Doire (trauma therapist of Embodied Explorations and award-winning songwriter) and Mira Simone (occupational therapist & grief-informed practitioner of New Moon Mira), this experience weaves together nervous system support, somatic practices, creative reflection, and meaningful connection. Our focus is not on fixing or forcing positivity — it’s about making space and exploring where we each find ourselves, together.
Join us for an intimate and restorative day — including a delicious lunch, live sound healing, group rituals, and somatic integration.
✨Early Bird Ticket Price: $250
✨Bring A Friend Discount: Bring along a friend & you will both access savings of $50 ($400 for TWO tickets)
What to Expect - A Message From Mira & Cindy
Hello friends & thank you for your openness and interest. This is the first in what will hopefully be a series of beautiful, collaborative events, and we are excited to meet you!
As longtime friends and sources of support for one another, we created this retreat because we know what it feels like to carry a lot.
Between the two of us, the inspiration for this work is rooted in our own lived experiences, as well as years of supporting others professionally through grief, trauma, and change.
We’re not here to tell you what’s right for you; we would never do that. Our hope is that we’re able to offer a gentle, safe, and thoughtfully created group experience — one that you leave feeling lighter than when you entered. We fully trust you to take what resonates and leave the rest behind.
You can expect to be met with care and respect. To be given choice, autonomy and space to move at your own pace. To be invited — never pushed. The day is intentionally layered. Our hope is that rather than feeling overwhelming, instead it feels meaningful. A mix of structure and openness, guidance and self-direction.
If you’re someone who gives a lot, holds a lot, and rarely pauses to receive — this is for you.
We’re really looking forward to holding this day with you — in a space that feels deeply personal for both of us, our friendship, and our paths forward.
Love,
Mira & Cindy
Our Time Together: 12-5 PM, 408 Queen Street West (Upstairs)
We’ll meet in a new, hidden, intimate space above The Cameron House on Queen — a venue that holds a lot of meaning for both of us. From there, you’ll be gently guided through a supportive group experience with space to process, reflect, and reattune to yourself. Our retreat will weave together grounding somatic body-based practices, creative reflection, and shared connection.
There will be time to pause and move at your own pace. Together, we will set down what we no longer need and bring intention into how we step forward.
In addition, we are so fortunate to have award-winning musician and songwriter Lala Noel joining us for the day. Lala will offer gentle vocal sound healing for our group — using her voice as a pathway for powerful release and resonance.
To close the day, we’ll gather for a final integration circle — a space to land, release, and fully embody what has moved through us. This phase offers a physical and symbolic reset, using ritual and reflection to help anchor the experience as a group.
After sharing and connecting, we'll lie back and receive a final integrating sound journey — an invitation to simply rest and receive, allowing the day to fully move through our bodies.
This final experience offers a moment for us all to process and leave feeling restored & rejuvenated.
There will be a break around 2:00 PM with heart-warming soup, cozy snacks, and tea included (vegan & gluten-free).
