The quietest hour you will have all week.
Welcome to Bunny Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto. This one is a little different from what most people picture when they hear the word yoga. The room is calmer. The music is softer. And the stars of the session move entirely on their own schedule.
Bunnies are prey animals. They do not bound over the moment you unroll your mat. They read the room, assess the energy, and extend trust slowly. The class is built entirely around that pace. When a bunny chooses to hop over and settle beside you, it means something. That is the whole point.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga
- 20 minutes of quiet connection time, where the bunnies may approach you on their own terms
- 5 minutes of sharing circle
Why people keep coming back
Bunny yoga works because it asks everyone to slow down. Not in a forced, performative way. In the way that happens when a small animal decides you are safe enough to sit beside. Your breath evens out. Your shoulders drop. Your nervous system just... exhales. People leave this class feeling genuinely reset, and that is harder to manufacture than most people realize.
The most important rule: stay on your mat
Your yoga mat is your designated space for the entire session. Staying on it is not just a class rule, it is how we keep the bunnies safe. Stepping off your mat unexpectedly can startle them and break the trust they have been building since the session began. Mats can be rented at reception if you do not have your own. Non-yoga grip towels are not an acceptable substitute.
A few things to know before you come
Please arrive 15 minutes before class starts. The session begins on time and the doors are locked shortly after to protect everyone's belongings. Late arrivals may not be accommodated. Wear clean, comfortable fitness attire and leave any dangling jewelry or accessories at home. Everyone in the room participates. There are no spectators. Disruptive behavior may result in removal at the instructor's discretion. The more calmly you engage with the yoga, the more likely the bunnies are to wander over and say hello. The bunnies are litter-trained, but occasional accidents do happen and are cleaned up promptly.
Families and kids
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian who also participates and helps the child move gently and handle the bunnies with care. For children under 7, a 1:1 adult-to-child ratio is required. For children ages 7 and older, one adult may accompany up to four children. If your group needs a ratio exception, reach out to [email protected] before booking.
Rescheduling, transfers, and refunds
All tickets are final sale. There are no refunds for missed sessions. Rescheduling is permitted up to three weeks before class with a 50% rescheduling fee per ticket. Requests made after that window cannot be accommodated. Tickets are transferable to another person if you cannot make it. If the studio cancels the session, you will receive a full refund or we will work out alternative arrangements. Genuine emergencies may be considered case by case with supporting documentation. Approved emergency refunds are subject to a 5% merchant processing fee.
Thank you for helping us keep every session calm, safe, and meaningful for the bunnies and the humans who come to meet them. We put a lot of care into these classes and it shows when the room gets quiet and a bunny decides to stay.
