About this Event
Come celebrate Dia de Muertos with us, this is a small community event and gathering.
2:00- 4:00 pm - Community gathering, arts & crafts and ofrenda prep
Bring something to offer to the community ofrenda. If you have a picture in your phone of a loved one that has passed away you will be able to print it at the event and add it to the altar. You can also bring: Marigolds, salt, copal.
4:00 - 6:00 pm - Open Mic
Be prepared to dedicate and share poems, songs, dance, stories or nice memories of loved ones who have passed away.
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Dance and Social
Stay after the open mic to celebrate life, chat with others, dance and enjoy each other.
This event is free and organized by Maxei Arts Collective.
There is no need to donate but if you want to contribute, bringing some food for the potluck would be a nice way to do so!

Acompañanos a celebrar el Día de Muertos con nosotros, este es un pequeño evento y encuentro comunitario.
2:00 - 4:00 pm - Encuentro comunitario, arte y manualidades, y preparación de la ofrenda.
Trae algo para ofrecer a la ofrenda comunitaria. Si tienes una foto en tu teléfono de un ser querido quieras honrar, podrás imprimirla en el evento y agregarla al altar. También puedes traer: flor de cempasúchil, sal, copal.
4:00 - 6:00 pm - Micrófono abierto
Prepárate para dedicar y compartir poemas, canciones, danza, historias o bonitos recuerdos de seres queridos que hayan fallecido.
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm- Baile y convivencia
Quédate después del micrófono abierto para celebrar la vida, conversar con otros, bailar y disfrutar juntos.
Este evento es gratuito y organizado por Maxei Arts Collective.
No es necesario donar, pero si deseas contribuir, ¡traer algo de comida para compartir (potluck) sería una excelente manera de hacerlo!
