We're giving away:
- Opiod overdose prevention virtual reality training and naloxone pick up
- BTNX drug testing strips education and giveaway
- Nicotine replacement therapy kits
- HIV/AIDS information and testing kits
- Traditional medicines for Indigenous peoples
You'll be able to:
- Drop-in to CAMH's on-site ID clinic and get information about city-wide clinics
- Meet CAMH program and community service staff providing information
- Ask questions to harm reduction workers at info tables
- Access the library collections, free CAMH publications, and educational resources
- Enjoy a relaxed social area with a separate quiet zone and stations with puzzles and colouring pages
- Get some snacks, figet toys and stress ball giveaways (while quantites last)
- Meet with peer support workers and pet therapy dogs

The RBC Patient and Family Learning Space (PFLS) is an interactive hub for patients, families and the community to access reliable information about mental health, substance use and recovery. We offer our services in-person and virtually, and our resources are available in print, web and app format. Through the PFLS you can attend interactive workshops and webinars, and discover a variety of community-based services that might help you in your recovery.
The Family Resource Centre offers resources and information to families and friends of people with mental illness and/or addiction challenges.
You can meet the friendly FRC staff and learn about the difference services available to families at CAMH.
The CAMH Library is open to staff, patients, families, and the public! You can browse the collections and make a card for a library dedicated to mental health sciences research, clinical practice, and the best lived experience collection in the city!
The Collaborative Learning College is a recovery college that offers nonclinical-based education and training programs to people who have lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges, and who feel ready to set goals, gain skills and make social connections as part of their personal journey. In keeping with internationally adopted approach to recovery-oriented education, the courses offered at the Collaborative Learning College are:
- co-created and co-led by people with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction challenges and/or social services use
- offered free of charge
- adaptable to local needs and resources
- open to people who have experienced mental health and/or addiction challenges and/or social services use, their family members, friends and health care providers, when appropriate.

About the space:
- the Patient and Family Learning Space (PFLS) is a long open-plan room with info pamphlets, resource tables, and comfortable chairs
- there are floor to ceiling windows that face onto Queen street
- we have a free little library, children's zone with crafts and books, two public computer kiosks, and an all season vertical grow garden
- we keep the overhead lights off and the blinds up for natural light
- our space is non-clinical but the overhead speaker system announces hospital wide messages
- we can provide information about accessing clinical services or call for clinical support should you need it but we do not have clinicians in the space
- there will be a designated quiet zone if you need to step away
- our space is wheelchair accessible
- washrooms are located outside the space in the hallways connected to the lobby at 1025 Queen Street west
- you can enter the PFLS directly from Queen Street, from the main lobby, and from the doors next to Mofer Coffee
