Brentwood Social House presents Chaski flute/harp duo in "Women's Work" on Sunday November 15, 2026 from 4-6 PM. Free admission. Donations welcome. All ages welcome.Women’s work, as the saying goes, is never done. It’s one of those truths that is universally acknowledged! Join Chaski for its presentation of "Women’s Work," a concert highlighting the creative work of women composers, writers, scientists, and artists.
Composers include Francisca “Chiquinha” Gonzaga, Violeta Parra, Magdalena Stirling, Maeve Gilchrist, Şirin Pancaroğlu, Sophia Dussek, Florence Price, Shana Norton, Dee Armstrong, Adrienne Inglis, Kristen Noguès, and a world premiere by Anne McKennon.
With its eclectic, genre-bending virtuosity, Chaski reinvents the sound of a classical flute/harp duo. Adrienne Inglis (flutes) and Shana Norton (harps) performed their first concert together in April 1985, in Kerrville, Texas. Since then, they have performed across miles and miles of Texas, from sea to shining sea, and occasionally in places that require a passport.
