ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
Ripples and Waves: Mental Health & Well-Being
November 5, 2026 - July 11, 2027
New Dialogues Initiative Gallery
Ripples and Waves: Mental Health and Well-Being in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Communities asks us to reframe mental health as a shared responsibility rather than an individual struggle. This exhibit highlights specific challenges AANHPI communities face and recognizes the resilience cultivated through heritage stories, knowledge, and traditions. By welcoming culturally rooted practices, broadening our understanding of wellness and unwellness, normalizing mental health and well-being, and nurturing safe spaces for earnest conversations, we can build networks of collective healing.
