Join veteran journalist and historian Andrew Paxman for an in-depth look at the evolution of Mexican journalism in the last few decades. Drawing on his firsthand experience reporting on the ground in the 1990s, his deep historical research, and his daily work training future reporters at Mexico City’s CIDE (Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas), Paxman offers an inside perspective on how journalism operates on the frontlines today.
Andrew Paxman is a research professor of history at the CIDE in Mexico. He is co-author of El Tigre, a biography of media mogul Emilio Azcárraga Milmo, and author of the biography Jenkins of Mexico, the monograph Mexican Watchdogs: The Rise of a Critical Press since the 1980s, and a forthcoming biography of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
