Overview
This event will be the official public launch of Camden’s Accessibility Pledge. The Pledge has been created in partnership with Attitude is Everything, a disability led organisation with over 26 years’ experience of working in the industry.
Through the Camden Accessibility Pledge, we aim to promote positive change through engagement and partnership. It will encourage businesses to consider accessibility as an integral part of good premises management and customer service, including staff awareness and training, accessible information, communication, physical access, service arrangements and the experience of disabled customers.
This is a voluntary commitment for licensed premises in the borough. It encourages venues to adopt a practical, proportionate, and supportive approach to accessibility, with a focus on continuous improvement. It complements, and does not replace, our legal duties under the Equality Act 2010.
Why attend the launch event?
Our licensed venues are central to the borough’s cultural, hospitality and night-time economy. The pledge has been developed to support venues in strengthening accessibility as part of day-to-day operations and customer experience. Helping venue operators improve access, communication, staff awareness, and engagement with customers around accessibility needs.

Hear from the experts
You will hear from Attitude is Everything, and our host venue’s own accessibility journey and experience.
The event will bring together representatives from Camden’s licensed trade, disability organisations and community groups, accessibility specialists, council services, and other partners. It will also be a chance to raise awareness of the barriers experienced by disabled people, share practical examples of good practice and encourage businesses across the borough to make meaningful and sustainable improvements.
