Join The Fitzrovia Partnership during ReLondon's Circular Economy Week (#CEweek2026) for a conversation with Kate Allan and Emma Chaplin, founders of London-based non-profit PropUp Project, exploring how circular thinking can turn waste into meaningful social and environmental impact, right on your doorstep.
Working across the UK’s major television broadcasters gave Kate and Emma first-hand insight into the industry’s waste challenge and inspired them to find a better way to manage materials and resources.
In 2021, they founded PropUp to put that thinking into practice. Their model keeps props, sets and equipment in use for longer, while redirecting materials from production into schools, charities, and community organisations. It’s a practical example of how circular economy principles can deliver tangible ESG outcomes: reducing waste, extending resource lifecycles, and creating social value.
With one of PropUp’s hubs based here in Fitzrovia, we'll also look closer to home, exploring how local businesses can support circular initiatives through surplus clearances, office moves and refurbishment projects, while creating positive impact for local people and communities.
