About this Event
Discover the beauty in imperfection with artist Yulong Lli (@yulonglli) in this transformative workshop inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold. Here, you’ll turn “mistakes” into masterpieces by deconstructing urban nature and still life into geometric shapes, then reassembling them on paper using gold ink to highlight imperfections. Using discarded watercolours and gold markers, you’ll transform creative waste into sustainable, resilient collages that celebrate resilience and beauty in flaws.
Part of EcoFest, a month-long programme at Moleskine Battersea Power Station dedicated to sustainable art and creativity, this workshop invites you to rethink sustainability through the lens of art and repair. Leave with a unique piece that tells a story of renewal and beauty in unexpected places.
