About the Event: Australia's favourite jet-setting cocktail hour band are heading back to the Brisbane Jazz Club because sometimes you CAN always get what you want! These fabulous musicians bring to the stage a love of all things Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66, celebrating a musical legacy that saw Sergio's music become the sound of the sixties.
From the Beatles to Bacharach and all points in between, To Sergio with Love features songs from the Brasil '66 catalogue that span a decade of delightful musical meanderings, with Mendes' singular talent for adding a little taste of Brasil to Western pop music, and his brilliance for inventive arrangements shining on every track. ‘Watch What Happens’, ‘I Think I'm Going Out of my Head’, ‘Mas Que Nada’, ‘Pretty World’, ‘Agua de Beber’, ‘Chove Chuva’ and ‘Fool on The Hill’ are just some of the gems in a show full of quirky-cool hits.
This one's for all the Sergio lovers who missed out on the last show!
