About the Event: Join Kate Street Big Band (KSBB) for another sell-out afternoon show at the Brisbane Jazz Club.
Soak in the retro as KSBB takes you back to smoky speakeasies and hideaway nightclubs. The band’s star-studded set list ranges far and wide – from tributes to the subtle magic of Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald, to raging Latin rhythms of Cuba and Brazil, to the coolest funk and bluest blues, and on to the big fat power of a big band in full flight.
Don’t miss this rare treat at Brisbane’s fabulous home of jazz, right there on the Brisbane River.
Kate Street is a 20-piece big band that plays a variety of jazz, from early swing to contemporary, Latin, and everything in between. Under the baton of multi-instrumentalist musical director Tamara Gibb, the band features dynamic jazz vocalist Naomi Doessel.
