About the Event: Back by popular demand! Dave Spicer is an active and respected force in the Australian music scene. A singer, pianist and songwriter of rare musical depth, his career has spanned international festivals, recordings, television appearances and collaborations with some of the country’s most celebrated artists. With hundreds of albums and touring credits to his name, Dave brings a wealth of experience and an unmistakable musical voice to every performance.
Equally renowned as an educator, Dave has spent over 20 years teaching at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he has mentored many of today’s leading performers. His artistry reflects this deep musical lineage: thoughtful, expressive, and grounded in a profound understanding of song, harmony and musical conversation.
For this special evening at the Brisbane Jazz Club, the Dave Spicer Band takes the stage, an ensemble of master musicians, each bringing their own voice, experience and instincts to the music. United by deep listening and shared musical trust, the band is ready for the unexpected, allowing moments to unfold organically in real time.
The program will be varied and richly textured, featuring piano and voice alongside beautifully crafted arrangements, lush harmonies and dynamic interplay. Drawing from jazz, soul, contemporary classics and original material, the focus remains firmly on the song, its emotion, its nuance, and its ability to surprise.
This is live music at its most engaging: intimate, expressive and alive in the moment.
Join the Dave Spicer Band live at Brisbane Jazz Club on Saturday 24th October for an evening of artistry, spontaneity and musical storytelling.
