🎶 The New Generation of Jazz presents the Etienne Steven Quintet 🎶Genre: Contemporary Vocal Jazz
Doors Open: 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Live Music: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
About the Event: On the evening of October 28th, Etienne Steven takes the stage at the Brisbane Jazz Club for a captivating night of vocal jazz. Grounded in the iconic lineage of Sarah Vaughan and inspired by modern trailblazers like Veronica Swift and Samara Joy, Etienne approaches every song as a master storyteller with heart-wrenching emotional depth.
More than a powerhouse vocalist, she is an exceptional musician with a sophisticated ear. Continually expanding her range through adventurous, unexpected arrangements, Etienne reimagines classic jazz with lush harmonies, inventive rhythm, and fresh narrative perspective.
Sharing the stage is a stellar local ensemble: Sergei Prosvirnov (saxophone), Cam McConville (piano), Marcus Carruthers (bass) and Sebastien Wright (drums).
Don't miss the chance to experience a thrilling evening of rich musicianship, bold vocal craft, and deeply resonant storytelling from one of Brisbane’s most compelling artists.
