About the Event: At the Brisbane Jazz Club on Friday 16 October, The Michael Walker Project will showcase original songs including two recent international releases.
These include the single ‘Footprints in the Sand’, featured in ABC’s 2025 TV series Mystery Road Origin.
And a 2026 release, ‘Travellin’ Man’, a funky, addictive, blues-driven track, fuelled by slide guitar alongside a soul-drenched harmonica and evocative vocal delivery by Michael Walker. This song was co-written and mixed by UK producer and audio engineer, Richard Manwaring (Van Morrison, Talking Heads and others) and mastered by 11 times Grammy award-winner, Brian Lucey.
Travellin’ Man also features Michael Stowasser, Mick Donnelly, Gary Meehan, Annette Henery and John Postlewhaite from The Michael Walker Project along with horn players, Mal Wood and Chris Hudson.
