About this Event
Get a first-hand, no-filter look at the independent publishing journey, straight from a debut author who did it her way.
Join us for a 90-minute talk + Q&A at Chelsea Library, tracing Lucy Gray's journey from manuscript to market: writing, editing, cover design, printing, distribution and sales, largely done solo.
This is an honest account of what independent publishing really costs in time, money, skill, and energy… and what it took to get Eternal Gravity into the same ecosystem as traditionally published titles worldwide.
Whether you're dreaming of writing your own book, curious about the industry, or are stuck in the querying trenches, this talk pulls back the curtain on what's possible when you stop waiting for someone else to say ‘you can’.
"Being an author isn't about obtaining permission to be in print, it's about creating something that someone wants to read- both lyrically and physically."
Join us on the 10th of October -- the gatekeepers are on their lunch break!
