This fall, The Communicators: Klein College Alumni Speakers Bureau is bringing accomplished Klein alumni back to Temple for conversations spanning investigative journalism, sports broadcasting and political communication.
Join us throughout the fall semester to hear directly from alumni who have built distinguished careers in their fields and learn about the experiences, decisions and stories that have shaped their work.
Inside Investigative Journalism with Joby Warrick

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, bestselling author and veteran national security correspondent Joby Warrick, KLN ’82, returns to Temple for a conversation about investigative journalism, national security reporting and the stories that have defined his career.
Warrick will also discuss his newest book, The Jackal, and the years of reporting, declassified archives and firsthand interviews behind it. The conversation will be moderated by David Boardman, dean of the Klein College of Media and Communication. A book signing will follow.

A Conversation with Rich Lerner: Aren’t You That Golf Guy?

Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster, author and longtime GOLF Channel host Rich Lerner, KLN ’83, returns to Temple to share his journey from WRTI and The Palestra to nearly three decades covering professional golf and some of the biggest moments in sports.
Lerner will discuss sports storytelling, memorable moments from his career and his new book, Aren’t You That Golf Guy? A book signing will follow the conversation, moderated by David Boardman, dean of the Klein College of Media and Communication.
Draw the Line in Ohio: A Conversation with Josh Rultenberg

Emmy-winning journalist, author, political analyst and former congressional communications director Josh Rultenberg, KLN ’11, brings a unique perspective from both sides of political communication.
Rultenberg will discuss his career in journalism and government as well as his new book, Draw the Line in Ohio: How One State’s Fight for Fair Maps Explains Gerrymandering in America, co-authored with Rory Riley Topping.
