A Benefit Concert for The Adversary
We are excited to be throwing a benefit concert for The Adversary at The Living Gallery! There will be classical, folk, and indie sets, plus an improv set on the film's theme by our amazing composer, Oli Pflaum! Come support this unique independent film; enjoy some music; meet our puppet, The Fiend; and partake of small-batch baked goods by Violet de Besche! All proceeds will support the production of The Adversary in 2027. This event was organized in collaboration with Oriana Hawley, the director of BlueBird Concerts!

The Film
The Adversary is a queer horror-comedy short film. Vowing to spend a day in silent contemplation to rescue himself from malaise, trans writer Seb teams up with his omniscient, godly smoke detector to resist the provocations of his needy, increasingly demonic, puppeteered cat. This slapstick spiritual struggle between puppet and actor dramatizes our relationships with the objects around us, using comedy to crack open the barriers between us and the odd, joyous beauty of the material world.

Tickets
Our tickets are available in different tiers for attendees wanting to contribute different amounts towards the film. Each ticket tier is good for entry to the event, but the higher you go, the higher a 'spiritual rank' you attain in the Mystical Order of The Adversary... The tiers above general admission also include a drink ticket.
For those attendees interested in tax deductibility, we encourage you to purchase a general admission ticket and pledge during the event, where tax deductibility will be available through our fiscal sponsor, Film Independent.
