BOOGIEMEISTER // musical facilitator
Some DJs take you deep. Boogiemeister takes you everywhere. Maui-based selector and producer Adrian Blackhurst has spent two decades gathering sounds from around the globe: from Goa to Amsterdam, from Vancouver's global fusion dance floors to his own Beats Bazaar nights on Maui. Then he pours it all back out as one joyful, bouncing journey.
Expect the sacred and mystical of the East woven through block-rockin' beats of the West. Global rhythms, soulful house, future funk, electro-swing and gypsy breaks flow together with a wink and a whole lot of heart. Along the way he plays live bass, guitar, melodica and percussion right there with you.
His one intention is FUN. Laugh, shake, let your body be silly, and remember that joy is a sacred practice too. Come ready to BOOGIE!

Teacher, choreographer, FREEstyler, poet, DJ and self-described “somatic wizard”, Gabriel Francisco has given his life to unlocking the movement potential in others. For over 20 years he has guided dancers and seekers from Japan and Brazil to Europe, Russia, Australia and New Zealand, and he is loved everywhere for his heartfelt communication and for simply being himself.
DANCE IS LIFE is his signature exploration, where dynamic zen meets body/mind connection, human awareness and FREEstyle (to be free of style). It’s primal and inclusive, open to first-timers and seasoned movers alike. Moving solo, in duos and as a group, you’ll bridge the dancer and the yogi, yourself and the Universe, and unlock the keys to life, living and loving.
