Projects and collaborations are already coming out of these events.

Many of us have been to film events in the past, but it's rare to meet writers, actors, directors, virtual production technicians, VFX artists, sound mixers, colourists etc, all in the same room.

Nick Arthurs is an award-winning picture editor with extensive credits across high-end television drama and film.

A BAFTA-winning editor and member of the British Film Editors (BFE), he has worked on major productions including The Witcher, His Dark Materials, A Discovery of Witches, and The Alienist.

With a career spanning drama, fantasy, and crime series, he is known for his storytelling-driven approach to editorial craft and his collaborative work with directors and post-production teams across UK and international productions.

Karo Jedrzejczyk is a Foley Artist, Editor and Supervisor, and Head of Foley at Sound Disposition, a leading London-based audio post-production facility.

She has contributed to a wide range of acclaimed film and television projects, including Disney+’s Alice and Steve, BBC’s Death in Paradise, and the comedy-horror Victorian Psycho, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Festival, as well as numerous international features, series, and immersive media projects.

Her work spans Foley performance, editorial and creative supervision, with a focus on crafting detailed, character-driven soundscapes. Karo is also an active member of AMPS and contributes to industry education through mentoring, guest lecturing and leading a variety of creative workshops.

Presentation: Introduction to Foley - A Talk by Karo Jedrzejczyk

Foley

It is the art of creation and re-creation of sounds made by humans’ interaction with other humans, animals and objects, performed and recorded in sync with an onscreen action. It encompasses everything from subtle cloth moves that accentuate characters’ onscreen movements to their footsteps, to the intricacies of sounds made by characters’ manipulating objects, all of which are performed by a Foley Artist by using a variety of - often surprising - props to mimic and enhance the movie’s sonic reality.

Andrew Wilson is a BAFTA, RTS and Emmy-nominated Re-recording mixer working across high-end film and television, with extensive experience in both UK and international post-production.

A Fellow and former Chair of the Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS), he has contributed to acclaimed productions including Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Goodbye Breasts!, Royal Mob, and Monkey Kingdom.

His career spans decades of work across sound editing, mixing, and supervision, and he is known for his collaborative approach in crafting immersive and cinematic soundtracks.

Wilson is also an active member of CAS, BAFTA, IPS and RTS, and continues to work from his purpose-built mixing facility and freelance across leading post-production studios.
