We’re bringing more lambada flavor to DC this October with two visiting Brazilian instructors: Bruna Peçanha & Pedro Nantes!
Bruna and Pedro are each known worldwide for their dancing and teaching. We’re excited to have Bruna back in DC and Pedro in DC for the first time. If you enjoy lambada, this is a great opportunity to expand what you know and add some techniques to your repertoire.
We’ll have:
- Two afternoons of workshops for lambada dancers
- Two nights of socials to enjoy dancing together
- Practicas to integrate what you learn and practice together
The evening socials are included with day passes or full passes, but also open to everyone. Saturday night’s social is at the beautiful Glen Echo Park Bumper Car Pavilion so we can dance outdoors and enjoy the fall weather.

Pedro Nantes is a Brazilian artist, educator and researcher dedicated to Brazilian Zouk and Lambada. With more than 20 years of experience in dance and 17 years of teaching, dance has become his main tool to decipher the body, communication and human relationships. His journey has taken him to different countries, allowing him to collaborate with diverse communities and share experiences with thousands of students. These experiences shaped his purpose: to create learning experiences that combine refined technique, body awareness, creativity, and genuine connection. He believes that Zouk and Lambada are living languages and in constant evolution. His philosophy and line of research seeks a balance between innovation and the maintenance of our culture. We transform the future when we respect the history, the essence, and the deep roots that make these dances unique. For him, dancing is not just about learning steps - it is discovering possibilities.
