About this Event
Kip James is a rising star in Canadian country rock. Born in Toronto, but having travelled all over the world, Kip has paid his dues as a full-time performer, having played hundreds of venues across Ontario. He has also gained national attention on CBC for his street performances outside Rogers Centre. Through years of performing, Kip has honed his craft in singing, band leading, and entertainment, gaining a reputation for stellar performances, musical professionalism, and reliability with fans and venues all across Ontario.
Alongside his work as a live performer, Kip is building his identity as a recording artist with the release of the first five tracks from his debut self-titled album: “That's Life (Auf Wiedersehen),” “Cowboy Consequences,” “Sing,” “Halie's New Comet,” and “Panacea.”
His unwavering commitment to his craft has created a razor-sharp party package, now available for bookings as Kip James Roadhouse, a six-piece band, or as a solo one-man-band with backing tracks. His repertoire is vast, ranging from '70s classic rock and pop hits to '90s country classics and a sprinkling of modern songs — from ABBA to CCR, John Denver to John Mellencamp, and The Eagles to Backstreet Boys.
In other words, Kip James is truly for everyone.
Jacob River Milnes is a Montreal based Americana/Country guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Val-Des-Monts, Quebec. Standing at 6’ 5” tall, the 23 year-old guitar slinger is hard to miss with his unforgettable stage presence and cool mystique. He captivates audiences everywhere he goes and is praised for his unique modernisation of traditional country and electric blues through strong poetic songwriting and undeniable ability on guitar. His songs and tall tales echo back to the music of his heroes, Waylon Jennings, Albert King, Bob Dylan and Vince Gill to name a few.
Milnes has been on the rise in recent years, and has had the chance to study under the mentorship of Juno-award-winners Sienna Dahlen and Ariane Moffatt, as well as refining his guitar playing with prof. Gary Schwartz. In 2026 Jacob was honoured with a nomination for the Oscar Peterson Award at Concordia University and in 2024, in anticipation of the release of his album "Sidewalk Rose" he was honoured to be invited to support Canadian country music icon Fred Eaglesmith at Ottawa’s CityFolk Festival. Jacob’s performance was hailed by local news sources such as the Ottawa Citizen and the CBC.
Looking forward, Milnes is currently finalizing new music set for release in the new year and is always writing new material for upcoming projects. In 2027, Jacob aims to put out another full length album, ramp up his touring schedule, and continue to build strong connections in the country music industry in Canada and beyond.
