Learn from the developers of many hit indie games! After running these events for 3 years in Vancouver, this is our first event in Toronto.
About this Event

After running indie game dev events for 3 years in Vancouver, we are bringing our first event to Toronto! We will be hosting the developers behind award winning games such as Inscryption, Slay the Princess, In Stars and Time and The Roottrees are Dead.

We hope to see you at the University of Toronto on October 24th - from 10am-4pm.

Daniel Mullins is a video game developer based in Vancouver, British Columbia, best known for creating critically acclaimed indie games like Pony Island, The Hex, and Inscryption. His fourth major release, Pony Island 2: Panda Circus, will be released on April 27th, 2027.

Abby Howard is the comic artist behind The Last Halloween, Junior Scientist Power Hour and the Ignatz-winning The Crossroads at Midnight. She currently works as a creative lead, artist, and writer for Black Tabby Games, the two-person Toronto-based studio responsible for Slay the Princess and Scarlet Hollow.

Tony Howard-Arias co-founded Black Tabby Games with his wife Abby. He currently works as a writer and game designer on Scarlet Hollow and Slay the Princess and manages the day to day of the studio. He and Abby live in Toronto with their cat Spoons, their axolotl Nubs, and their snake Wednesday.

Adrienne Bazir (she/they) is a video game developer and cartoonist who makes things that make you feel things. After ten years of working on kids' animated shows, they now run insertdisc5, a indie game studio focused on storytelling. In 2023, she launched her award-winning, black and white, timeloop game In Stars and Time, and is currently working on their next game, Truth Scrapper, which she promises will have colour this time.

Robin Ward is the founder of Evil Trout, a studio dedicated to developing and publishing puzzle and mystery games. He was the lead developer and producer on "The Roottrees are Dead" and "The Incident at Galley House."

Tickets are just $10 for early bird pricing, until October 10. After that, they'll still be at a very affordable $17.

Event Info: Volunteers will check you in at the building entrance. Snacks and drinks will be provided at the event, so please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when buying your ticket.
