Girilal Baars is a composer and performer based in Uppsala, Sweden. He works with electroacoustic and acoustic music, ranging from vocal a capella to 64-channel fixed media compositions. Creating a connection between vocal folk music and electroacoustic music has been a mainstay of his work.
Berlin-based Alexander Markvart operates mostly with a prepared guitar and various objects. He is the founder of such polystylistic musical formations as Studio of Unconscious Music (SUM) and Siberian Improvisation Company (SIC!). In addition to playing internationally with different musicians, he has organized festivals and concerts in Siberia, St.Petersburg and Berlin. Since 2018 he has been the main artistic director of PAS Berlin.
Arttu Partinen has been making the rounds in the world of experimental music for closer to 30 years now. In his Amon Düde guise he uses collapsing tape players, found tapes, his own recordings from several projects, nature sounds, human voice etc. The physicality of his performances makes him a kind of a full body theremin. Operating with tapes, coincidence always has a huge role, as does the aging of the human body.
