About this Event
Join us for an engaging panel discussion exploring the powerful connections between food, culture, migration and belonging.
Hosted by Gerry Kelly of LMFM, whose afternoon radio show brings together stories, lively conversation and voices from across the northeast, this event promises a warm welcome and plenty of food for thought.
Through personal stories and shared experiences, our panellists will discuss the dishes that connect them with home, family and tradition. They’ll explore the recipes and flavours they brought to Ireland, the ingredients and influences they discovered here, and how their cooking has adapted along the way.
The audience will also be invited to contribute to our Migration Plate, answering the question: If you moved to another country tomorrow, what food or recipe would you take with you to remind you of home?
A warm and thought-provoking conversation celebrating how food helps us remember where we come from, embrace where we are, and build connections across borders.
