About this Event
Merroir is the taste of the place an oyster comes from: the waters, the tides and everything that makes one oyster different from another. Join us in the Red Chapel for a taste of Ireland’s coastline as we explore four distinct oysters, one from each province: Leinster, Connacht, Munster and Ulster. We’ll be pairing these with two delicious Champagnes, exploring how each brings out different flavours in every bite.
Your host, Niall Sabongi of Salty Buoy, will be joined by drinks expert and writer Susan Boyle to guide us through the Champagnes, and Kian Louët-Feisser of Carlingford Oysters to share the stories behind the oysters and what makes each one special.
Whether you know your oysters inside out or you’re trying one for the first time, come curious and ready to find a favourite. Expect lively chat, plenty of laughs and a little friendly debate over which oyster takes the crown. With good company, freshly shucked oysters and Champagne in your glass, the merriment will come naturally.
