Created especially for Samhain Festival, guests of all ages will enjoy the same six-course tasting menu, designed and prepared by Jennifer Provan of Kitchenetta Catering. Jennifer brings a wealth of experience in hospitality and catering to the event and, as a farmer’s daughter, has a real passion for carefully sourced, local and seasonal ingredients. That ethos is at the heart of Kitchenetta and will shape a menu created to showcase the quality and variety of produce being made right here in the Boyne Valley.

Each course will offer something different to discover, accompanied by specially selected drinks pairings, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available.

Guiding guests through the experience will be chef, food writer and cookery teacher Tara Walker. Having grown up surrounded by family food businesses, Tara went on to train at Le Cordon Bleu Paris before establishing the East Coast Cookery School in Termonfeckin, where she spent 13 years sharing her love of authentic ingredients and cooking from scratch. She is also the author of Good Food No Stress and a familiar face from Virgin Media’s Ireland AM.

Throughout the six courses, Tara will introduce some of the Boyne Valley producers whose ingredients and products feature on the menu. They will join us at the table to share the stories behind what they make, how it is produced and what makes it special, with plenty of opportunities for guests – young and old – to ask questions.

At the heart of Boyne Valley Bitesized is the idea that discovering good food is something we can do together. There’s no separate children’s menu here – younger diners will experience the same six tasting courses as the adults, encouraging them to be curious, explore new flavours and ingredients and perhaps discover something they never thought they would enjoy.

And while children are very welcome, this is most definitely an experience for grown-ups too. It’s about gathering family and friends around one table to enjoy great food and drink, meet the people behind it and have some fun along the way.

Expect six tasting courses, carefully chosen drinks pairings, brilliant Boyne Valley produce, fascinating stories, plenty of conversation and a few surprises.

Come hungry, come curious and experience the Boyne Valley one bite at a time.
