About this Event

Hosted by Jacinta Dalton, Head of Department of Food, Heritage and Hospitality Management at Atlantic Technological University in Galway.

This Samhain panel will discuss a holistic, integrative approach to preventative healthcare, from the food we eat to the importance of supporting local farmers for health and wellbeing, as well as exploring the connection between the land, our environment and health. The panelists will explore the connection between what we eat, health and wellbeing and the future of Irish farming. We’ll ask what needs to change to make fresh nutritious food more accessible and how we can ensure farmers are properly paid for producing it. What if we put more value on good food and the people who grow it?
