About the play
After 40 years of discovering she was adopted, Indigo makes a match with a half-sibling through DNA testing and faces suspicion and stonewalling from her biological mother’s other three children.
When she foils their attempts to block a meeting with her mother, Indigo faces a woman shrouded in sorrow and a dark secret.
About the series
Alumnae’s Next Stage is a monthly reading series with dramaturged and directed script readings of new plays by our New Play Development (NPD) group members, representing a ‘next stage’ in the development of works-in-progress. These readings are directed and performed by members, with informed feedback from the audience.
