About this Event
Conflict and Climate Change: Are Trump and Middle East wars worsening global environmental challenges?
A Showcase of SSE Postgraduate Programmes
Is the global fight against climate change being forgotten by governments distracted by wars in the Middle East and Donald Trump’s unpredictable presidency? As leaders and lobbyists gather in Türkiye for COP31 in November, expectations are relatively low, but should they be? Please join a panel of experts from across the School of Society and Environment (SSE) as we explore the current state of the global response to climate change, and the challenges faced.
Everyone is welcome, but this event will be particularly useful for final-year undergraduate students considering a master's degree, as well as anyone interested in postgraduate study at Queen Mary.
Our panel brings together academics from across the School of Society and Environment (SSE), including Geography and Environmental Science, Development, Politics and International Relations, and History.
Following the discussion, you'll have the opportunity to meet our academics, explore our postgraduate programmes and ask any questions you may have about studying with us.
