About this Event

About the Event

We are delighted to invite you to our Cinema Club - a welcoming space where we come together to watch outstanding films from around the world, meet new people, and discover different cultures. Our screenings are more than just movie viewings; they are an opportunity to explore the cultural and social context of the country where each film originated. Every screening is hosted by someone connected to that culture, who offers a deeper insight into the film and its background.

This time, we will be screening Day of the Wacko (Dzień świra) - one of the most iconic films of Polish cinema. This dark comedy follows Adaś, a 44-year-old divorced Polish literature teacher whose life is consumed by everyday frustrations, obsessive routines, loneliness, and disappointment with the world around him.

Why should you join us?

Through absurd situations, sharp humour, and painfully familiar moments, the film offers a unique portrait of modern Polish society and the struggles of an ordinary person trying to find peace in everyday life.

Behind its comedy, the film explores deeper questions about loneliness, relationships, social expectations, national identity, and the gap between our ideals and reality.

What to expect
