Panellists:

Jason Patterson

Shaz Ahmed

Victoria Tsoy

Wesley Hawthorne

Jason Patterson

Jason , aka the “Short Lease King,” owns a property training company and has mastered the short-lease property investment strategy.

His 25-year property journey includes transforming overlooked short-lease flats into profitable units by extending leases, refurbishing properties, and, in some cases, reconfiguring layouts to add an additional bedroom. He also purchases freeholds on occasions.

Jason’s journey began at Sainsbury’s, stacking bread—but he saw beyond the shelves. Every shift, he saved toward his dream of owning property. That hard work paid off, and he went on to purchase five flats while still working at Sainsbury’s.

Shaz Ahmed

Shaz is the director of Elan Property Finance and the face behind @wheresshaz.

He works directly with UK landlords, developers, and investors who need practical advice on deal structuring and specialist finance.

Known for a straight talking and relationship first approach, Shaz focuses on real world execution rather than just running numbers.

He helps clients cut through market noise, adapt to policy shifts, and make smart moves to build genuine wealth and financial freedom.
