About this Event
WELCOME to the Bloody Brilliant Fest!
Coffee, brilliant women, and the conversations that usually only happen in the women’s toilets at a party, except we’re having them on a stage, in community, with you.
Have you ever had your symptoms ignored by a doctor? Has your boss ever dismissed your health? Are you sick and tired of trying to explain the support you need to your partner?
Probably! We are two ambitious women who spend our days in rooms where we are the only woman in the room. The youngest in the room. The only person with a period in the room. And we're absolutely floored that in 2026 women are still navigating this.
This is why we're putting the menstrual cycle front and centre stage. Literally, on a stage, with the experts, the research, the practical stuff nobody gives you, the answers to what you've been quietly googling.
Bloody Brilliant Fest is where you unlearn everything you've been taught about your period and confidence. We're burning the old rules to the ground 🔥
Together, Lauren and Carmen are like the big sister you've always dreamed of and the mentor who will give you a kick up the ass in the right way, at the right time!
LEARN
Your body: how your cycle actually works, what the science says and what it definitely doesn't, why your energy, focus, confidence and patience move in a pattern every single month, and what to do about it on an ordinary Tuesday.
Your confidence: Learn how to ask clearly for what you need and how to respond when you’re ignored, dismissed or gaslit - at home, in the doctor’s surgery and at work. You’ll leave with three practical rules for advocating for yourself, plus ways we can challenge the system so that our daughters aren’t facing the same sh*t.
PRACTICE
We're not sitting and nodding for four hours (boring!), you'll get to put what you learn into practice immediately.
SHARE
The women's toilet conversation, but with a microphone and yummy food.
The stuff nobody says at work. The week that wrecks you. The thing your doctor dismissed. The ask you didn't make.
Said out loud, in a room where every single person gets it.
CONNECT
Ambitious women who are building things and done apologising for it. No speed-networking nonsense, no business cards you'll bin.
