About this Event
We are living through a paradox: we have more data about our body than ever before, yet it can still feel harder to actually understand what our body is telling us.
Wearables, applications and biofeedback tools now track sleep, stress, recovery and readiness with increasing precision.
Yet alongside this rise in external measurement, there is also fatigue emerging, a growing awareness that numbers alone are not enough to create regulation, resilience or genuine wellbeing.
This experiential workshop introduces a complementary and often overlooked human capacity: interoception, our ability to sense and interpret internal bodily signals from within.
Drawing on somatic movement, Yoga Therapy for anxiety and breathwork informed by Polyvagal Theory, you will be guided through a series of embodied explorations designed to support nervous system down-regulation, release chronic muscular tension and restore a clearer internal sense of awareness.
This workshop offers you a direct experience of regulation through your own body: through floorwork, spiral and circular movement patterns, breath-led sequences and gentle tremor and shaking practices, you will explore how your nervous system can shift state through internal attention, movement and breath.
The session also introduces simple, practical tools that you can integrate into daily life, including a short somatic reset, breath practices for nervous system regulation, and movement strategies that support recovery, reduce stress load and enhance embodied decision-making.
You will leave with a felt sense of calm, clarity and grounded presence, alongside practical skills to rebuild trust in your body’s internal signals and support regulation in everyday life.
You will:
- Experience down-regulation of your nervous system through movement and breath
- Develop a clearer understanding of interoception as a foundation for stress resilience and recovery
- Learn to recognise and interpret internal bodily signals with greater accuracy and confidence
- Release chronic tension patterns through somatic and spiralling movement
- Gain a simple daily practice to regulate stress and restore balance in approximately ten minutes
- Leave feeling calmer, more grounded and more connected to your internal state
Common feedback after this practice includes a sense of deep relaxation, mental quietness and the feeling of finally being able to switch off, with many people reporting improved sleep or immediate post-practice restfulness.
This workshop combines:
- Somatic floorwork for grounding and sensory awareness
- Circular and spiral movement patterns inspired by developmental movement principles
- Breath-led practices to support nervous system down-regulation
- Gentle shaking and tremor release to discharge stored tension
- Interoceptive awareness training through guided attention and embodied exploration
Open to all levels of experience.
