About this Event
Zines as Feathers for a Flock: A Mobile Zine Library is a participatory project collecting oral stories, histories, tall tales, and blue humor from the many interconnected worlds of Philadelphia’s art and cultural scenes.
Join for an afternoon of storytelling, pamphlet-making, and surrealist collage as we build a collective archive through printed matter.
Throughout Collective Futures, stories gathered from Philadelphia’s creative communities will be recorded, transcribed, and transformed into printed matter to create a growing, collective archive of the city’s creative life.
Zines as Feathers for a Flock is presented by Pink Noise Projects as part of Collective Futures, a six-week citywide project bringing together Philadelphia’s artist-run spaces, DIY venues, and community-based initiatives.
Come make a pamphlet. Tell a story. Cut something up. Put it back together differently. Help drum the beat to make the exquisite corpse dance.
