About this Event
SUMMARY
An evening of meditative, Hebrew-inscribed pottery by Mahla Shapiro. Shop Chanukah gifts that give back to mental health in Israel with Share Zedek.
OVERVIEW
tzimtzum: making space: A Ceramic Show Featuring Mahla Shapiro
In Jewish mysticism, tzimtzum is the idea that the Divine drew inward to make room for the world to exist. It's about making space for something new, for others, and for ourselves.
Join us at The Collective Makom for an evening with Mahla Shapiro's ceramics. Each piece is functional pottery that combines meditative themes with Hebrew lettering, so it's meant to be used as well as admired.
