About this Event
To develop central trust team members’ understanding of the distinctive mission, governance and responsibilities of Catholic academy trusts within the Diocese of Westminster, and how these shape professional practice across all central functions.
By the end of the formation day, participants will have an understanding of;
1) the constitutional, canonical and diocesan foundations of Catholic academy trusts, including the role of the Bishop, Trustees and Education Service
2) how Catholic Social Teaching informs leadership, governance, decision-making and stewardship within a Catholic trust;
3) how Catholic distinctiveness influences professional responsibilities in areas such as governance, finance, HR, estates and compliance
