The Siren Project Manton Format INTRO FOR BEGINNERS with Agata Zakrzewska

✨️An introduction to this unique group improv style, blending FCBD Style, Devi Mamak Steps and flamenco inspirations - and all that combined with a majestic, dynamic prop: MANTON!
✨️This is a great opportunity to learn from the creator of The Siren Project Manton Format, Agata Zakrzewska, a Warsaw-based international dance teacher with a university degree in choreography and almost 20 years experience in various bellydance and fusion styles.
This 2h workshop will cover:
◇ Warm up and conditioning for Manton Format
◇ Flamenco styling in FCBD Style: tips for posture and arms
◇ Technique basics: holding the manton, moving it through space
◇ Creating shapes, presenting your manton
◇ Wrapping and unwrapping yourself
◇ Basic slow and fast Manton Format steps
◇ Using Manton Format in group improvisation
◇ Lots of fun drills to passionate flamenco-inspired music!
Recommended for dancers with some FCBD Style experience, but all steps will be clearly broken down.
✅️ You will need: any square shawl, at least 125x125cm (not counting fringe).
💻 Workshop takes place on Zoom with recording available for a year (to watch on Google Drive)
