This two-day gathering brings together voices from across sectors to re-imagine the justice system for children and young people.
About this Event

The Restoration Revolution is a movement of ideas and action, convened by Oasis in partnership with SHiFT.

For too long, public conversation about justice has been polarised, dominated by punishment, shame, and division. But scratch below the surface, there is growing recognition that we cannot harm to heal.

Through two days in Manchester and two days in London, people from across sectors will gather: frontline practitioners and grassroots organisations, people who work for justice institutions, in classrooms, youth clubs, courtrooms, police stations and prisons, hospitals, charities, businesses, advocacy, research, and the arts.

We are gathering those who educate, judge, govern, heal, support, influence and shape policy. Crucially we will also be joined by people with lived experience of the justice system, including those who have suffered harm and those who have caused harm. Every perspective matters. Every voice belongs. Everyone has something essential to contribute.

Together we will create a compelling vision for criminal justice that pushes policy and practice change, and begins with children and young people. Our finalised manifesto will be published and promoted as we invite communities, organisations, institutions, and decision-makers across the country to help turn its vision into action.
