THE NEWSPAPER TAXI MEN performed a legendary headline set at the Dublin Beatles Festival in 2023, and it's a genuine honour to finally get them back together again, and blackmail them into playing for us at the Workman's Club on Saturday, November 7th. These guys play a brilliant selection of songs from the different periods of The Beatles, and Jon Ward's voice will make you glad to be alive. Anyone who has seen this band play live before can confirm that they are pure quality. You would be crazy to miss this performance. And God knows when we'll be able to blackmail them again!
FIACH MORIARTY
When it comes to Dublin ‘ledge-bags’ Fiach Moriarty is right up there at the very top. He plays great, he sings great, and he writes great songs. Fiach has performed on tour with Ray Davies, Mary Black, Eddi Reader, Damien Dempsey and Declan O'Rourke; and in 2022, Fiach joined Horslips as lead guitarist for a run of gigs. Yeah – he’s that good. Seriously. Oh, and he also plays with the brilliant band ALDOC. On Saturday, November 7th, Fiach will be playing a set of songs from The Beatles, but also check out his own tunes over at www.fiachmusic.com.
