About this Event
Every New Yorker carries a private city. A building that stops you cold. A block that feels like yours. A smell, a sound you'd mourn if it disappeared. These are the obsessions we rarely confess out loud. Tonight, we do.
A panel of writers, thinkers, and deeply opinionated New Yorkers will each speak for five minutes about the one thing they can't stop loving about this city. Then we'll briefly step outside together — to look, to notice, to discover a new obsession in the city we share. And when we return, we'll find out what we love. What we argue about. What, without knowing it, we've been loving in common.
Panelists include Gabrielle Bendiner-Viani, Moses Gates, Philip Lopate, R.A. Villanueva, and Brad Vogel, with Daniel Wortel-London moderating.
You'll leave with a few new obsessions of your own — and a slightly different way of walking through the city you thought you already knew.
Doors open at 6:30, with the panel starting at 7pm. We'll walk outside at 7:45!
