About this Event
This isn’t just another networking event.
It’s the room you’ve been searching for and the one you’ll actually want to walk into.
The FoundHERs Club IRL is an intimate experience for female founders, small business owners, and women in business who want real connection, honest conversations, and insights that actually move things forward.
This Month’s Speaker: Joy Aboderin – Founder of Potential U Ltd & Style Academy UK
A leading style and image consultancy established over 18 years ago to empower professional women through personal styling transformation.
She trained twice at the London College of Fashion in Personal Styling and Fashion Buying.
Joy combines her passion for style with expert industry knowledge to help women look and feel their absolute best.
Over the years, she has styled and transformed thousands of women, helping them to embrace their individuality and love the skin they are in, unapologetically.
Joy’s professional journey began in the City of London, where she worked as an accountant for 13 years. Unfulfilled in her corporate career, she took a bold leap of faith, selling her home to pursue her dream of creating a business that empowers women through style.
This decision birthed Potential U, a consultancy that offers Personal Styling solutions including: Colour Analysis, Body Shape Analysis, Personal and Online Shopping, and Wardrobe Detox and Management.
Joy is a sought-after speaker and trainer. She delivers sold-out Style Masterclasses and workshops around the world.
Her impressive client list includes Google, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Harrods, Virgin, the Mayor of London’s Office, major law firms, investment banks, and celebrities.
As a Guest and Associate fashion and entrepreneurship lecturer, Joy has shared her expertise at prestigious institutions such as University of Arts, Goldsmiths University of London, ESR London, London College of Style, and the world-renowned London College of Fashion (UAL).
Deeply committed to giving back, Joy launched Potential U Style Academy, where she mentors, educates and equips aspiring personal stylists and creatives to build fulfilling careers.
She lives by Maya Angelou’s powerful words: “When we learn, teach.”
Her passion for women extends far beyond fashion.
Joy has volunteered for numerous charities over the past two decades, including Community Kitchen, which supports, feeds and clothes the disadvantaged.
She also led One London Sisterhood, 3 years. A women’s charity dedicated to community support and empowerment.
Joy’s mission is clear: to help women uncover their full potential, embrace their uniqueness, and step confidently into the lives they were created to live.
She is a Christian and firmly believes that every woman is wonderfully made by God.
