About this Event
For more than a decade, Bay Area fingerstyle guitarists Teja Gerken and Doug Young have brought their musical friendship to the stage —performing original instrumental compositions, Celtic tunes, jazz standards, and even occasional classical piece, leveraging six-string acoustics as well as baritone, 12-string, and even resonator guitars. Their two albums, DUETS and The Water Is Wide, are available on all stremaing platforms. The duo’s recording of Teja’s composition “Takoma” won the instrumental category of the 2025 USA Songwriting Competition. Alex de Grassi describes their playing as updating "the
classic chemistry of the Bert & John (Jansch & Renbourn) recordings of the sixties." Join us for an intimate evening of rich, warm acoustic
sound.
