About the Book:
Her Right Foot ruminates on the meaning, importance, and character of America. This book raises important ideas about borders and immigration, resistance to oppression, Lady Liberty's role in America, and what the United States stands for. As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday, we think Her Right Foot by Dave Eggers and Shawn Harris is an excellent book to reflect on the nation's history, ideals, and continuing evolution.

What is Community Reads?
The goal of Community Reads is to broaden our mission to engage, enrich, and inspire our community through literature. We especially love the Community Reads program because it encapsulates the very essence of our existence: to connect us all through great books, engage in meaningful conversations and motivate us to bring social changes. Community Reads is an immersive experience in which the whole community comes together to read the same book simultaneously, participate in book club discussions, and develop greater understanding of our human condition.
