Join us for an extraordinary evening of music that bridges world-class Western classical masterworks with cherished Taiwanese folk traditions. Jointly organized by Artisan Music Academy, Chinese Society of Austin, LexNovia Venture Studio, and the Austin Hakka Association, this special concert brings together internationally acclaimed soloists, distinguished guest artists, and music lovers from across Central Texas.

Featured soloist Prof. Shien-Ta Su—former Dean of Music at Taipei National University of the Arts and long-time Concertmaster of the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra—returns to Texas to headline an inspiring program celebrating shared heritage, artistic mastery, and cross-cultural resonance.

The evening’s program seamlessly blends celebrated classical pieces with timeless Taiwanese melodies arranged for voice, violin, and piano:

• Western Classical Masterpieces: Works by Gabriel Fauré (Berceuse, Op. 16), Frédéric Chopin / arr. Sarasate (Nocturne in E-flat Major), Bedřich Smetana (From My Homeland), Edward Elgar (La Capricieuse), Amy Beach (Romance, Op. 23), and Moritz Moszkowski (Suite for Two Violins & Piano, Op. 71).
• Beloved Folk & Cultural Melodies: Vibrant arrangements of Green Island Serenade, The Moon Represents My Heart, She is Our Darling, Wife, and the Taiwanese Folk Song Suite (adapted for voice, piano, and violin).

• Prof. Shien-Ta Su (Violin): Violin virtuoso, former Dean of the School of Music at Taipei National University of the Arts (38-year faculty tenure), and Concertmaster of the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra. His expressive tone and storied career have made him one of Taiwan’s premier musical ambassadors.
• Shelley Jauh-Shiang Chen (Soprano): Founder and Conductor of the Austin Chanson Choir, Advisory Consultant to Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), and former President of the Chinese Society of Austin.
• Ivy Yee Chang (Violin): International soloist and chamber musician, recipient of the President’s Award for Achievement at SUNY Purchase, and DMA fellow at Rutgers University.
• Dr. Yujen Chen Tobita (Piano): Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Texas Tech University, prize-winning pianist, accompanist, and dedicated music educator.
• Betty Chen (Piano & Cello): Founder and Conductor of the 40-member Betty Lin Chamber Orchestra, Associate Principal Cellist with Millennial Choirs and Orchestras, and active arts leader.

誠摯邀請您共赴一場跨越世界的音樂盛宴，體驗西方古典經典與珍貴台灣民謠的完美交融。本場特別音樂會由 Artisan Music Academy 主辦，並由 德州奧斯汀客家會、奧斯汀中華聯誼會 及 LexNovia Venture Studio 共同協辦，匯聚國際知名獨奏家、傑出客席音樂家與來自中德州的廣大樂迷。

特邀獨奏家 蘇顯達教授 —— 前國立臺北藝術大學音樂學院院長、長年擔任臺北愛樂室內樂團首席 —— 將重返德州，傾情獻演一系列精彩曲目，一同慶祝共同的文化傳承、極致藝術魅力與跨文化的共鳴。

今晚的節目將西方著名古典樂章與歷久彌新的台灣旋律無縫結合，並特別改編為聲樂、小提琴與鋼琴三重奏：

• 西方古典大師名作： 佛瑞《搖籃曲，作品 16》、蕭邦／薩拉沙泰編曲《降 E 大調夜曲，作品 9-2》、史麥塔納《來自故鄉》、艾爾加《善變的女人》、艾米·比奇《小提琴與鋼琴的浪漫曲，作品 23》，以及莫里茨·莫什科夫斯基《G 小調雙小提琴與鋼琴組曲，作品 71》。
• 家喻戶曉的民謠與經典旋律： 動人的《綠島小夜曲》、《月亮代表我的心》、《伊是咱的寶貝》、《家後》，以及特別改編為聲樂、鋼琴和小提琴的《台灣民謠組曲》。

• 蘇顯達教授 (小提琴)： 小提琴演奏家，前國立臺北藝術大學音樂學院院長（任教 38 年），現任臺北愛樂室內樂團首席。其細膩豐富的琴音與資深的藝術成就，使其成為台灣代表性的音樂大使之一。
• 陳兆香 (女高音)： 陳兆香被台北國家音樂廳甄選譽為傑出的聲樂家。她同時也是一位世界首演音樂家，並擔任臺灣客家事務委員會的海外顧問。
• 張宜 (小提琴)： 國際獨奏家與室內樂演奏家，紐約州立大學帕切斯分校「校長成就獎」得主，以及羅格斯大學音樂藝術博士（DMA）研究員。
• 陳毓珍 博士 (鋼琴)： 德州科技大學藝術博士，獲獎鋼琴家、伴奏家及熱心的音樂教育家。
• 林佳蓉 (鋼琴)： 擁有 40 位成員的貝蒂林室內樂團創辦人兼指揮、Millennial 齊唱與管弦樂團大提琴副首席，以及活躍的藝術領袖。

• 入場方式：免費入場，需預先登記 (RSVP)。 (因場地座位有限（200 席），請務必於 Eventbrite 預先登記以保留您的座位。)
• 自由捐款 (Voluntary Donations)： 雖然本場音樂會為免費入場，但舉辦如此規模的國際文化交流活動涉及龐大的交通、製作與行政支出。非常感謝您在 Eventbrite 結帳時或於演出現場進行自由捐款，所有款項將直接用於支持客席音樂家及未來的社區文化活動。
