Some opportunities represent more than an invitation. They reflect the vision, dedication, sacrifices, and commitment behind a mission to make a difference.
This is one of those moments.
I am incredibly honored and excited to share that The Carousel Foundation The Carousel Foundation of Greater Saint Louis, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been invited to the 2026 Thriving Seven Summit following our participation in the 2026 T7 Social Impact Challenge!
What makes this opportunity even more meaningful is that I will not be making this journey alone.
I will be joined by five individuals from our organization, including our Co-Founder, Alisha Phillips-Jones, as we proudly represent our foundation and the Saint Louis community.
For us, this is about so much more than attending a summit. It is an opportunity to share our mission, build meaningful relationships, learn from others, and open doors that could help us make an even greater difference in the communities we serve.
Under the leadership of Chairman T.D. Jakes and Kelley Cornish, President and CEO of the T.D. Jakes Foundation, the summit will bring together leaders and organizations committed to strengthening communities and creating meaningful change.
We look forward to hearing from influential voices, including Chairman T.D. Jakes, Taraji P. Henson, Angela Rye, MC Lyte, Morgan DeBaun, and Bakari Sellers.
When we established The Carousel Foundation of Greater Saint Louis, we believed that meaningful change begins with people who care enough to act. That belief continues to guide everything we do.
I am especially grateful to share this experience with members of our foundation who have invested their time, energy, and hearts into what we are building.
This is not just my moment. This is OUR moment.
One message from the summit invitation truly resonated with me:
"Your work matters. Your voice matters. And we want you in the room!"
That means something to us.
A seat at the table. A voice in the conversation. An opportunity to learn, make connections, and bring something meaningful back home to Saint Louis.
We are heading to Atlanta grateful for this opportunity, excited about the experience, and ready to represent our organization and community with pride.
We are not simply showing up. We are showing up with PURPOSE!
