Join us for an epic 21.5-mile journey traversing six of DC’s major river bridges across both the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers!
🌉 The Six Bridges:
1️⃣ Arlington Memorial Bridge (Potomac River)
2️⃣ 14th Street Bridge (Potomac River)
3️⃣ Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge (Anacostia River)
4️⃣ 11th Street Bridge (Anacostia River)
5️⃣ John Philip Sousa Bridge / Pennsylvania Ave SE (Anacostia River)
6️⃣ Whitney Young Memorial Bridge / East Capitol St (Anacostia River)
🛣️ The Path:
This beautiful route connects these majestic spans using dedicated multi-use trails, primarily the Mount Vernon Trail and the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, with connecting city street segments.
⚡ Pace & Duration:
Due to the 21.5-mile distance and perfect skating weather, we will be aiming for a quicker, steady pace (7mph average) to shoot for a completion time of around 3 to 3.5 hours with only brief stops.
